Yale College Dean Jonathan Holloway will discuss the classic work by the eminent sociologist W. E. B. Du Bois, The Souls of Black Folk, in relation to the contemporary period often dubbed the post-racial age. Holloway’s talk will expand on his own provocative essay published in the new edition of Du Bois’ work that Holloway edited.
