The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada has awarded Wendell Adjetey (African American Studies/History ‘18) a prestigious Doctoral Fellowship. Wendell’s research interests include the inter- and post-war transnational freedom linkages and labour organizing of African North Americans in Great Lake cities.
SSHRC is the federal research funding agency that promotes and supports postsecondary-based research and training in the humanities and social sciences. By focusing on developing Talent, generating Insights and forging Connections across campuses and communities, SSHRC strategically supports world-leading initiatives that reflect a commitment to ensuring a better future for Canada and the world.
Wendell has also been selected to serve as a Graduate Affiliate to the 2013 Yale World Fellows.
