Brooks playlist takes a seat at NPR table

NPR’s popular program, “Marketplace,”  features music selected by Daphne Brooks, who, as a noted scholar of  black popular music, was invited to contribute selected pieces from the syllabus for her course,  “We the People”: Protest Music in America & the Black Freedom Struggle.”
