The DeVane Medal at Yale University awarded to Carolyn Roberts

Carolyn Roberts, Assistant Professor, History of Science & History of Medicine; African American Studies at Yale University  awarded the DeVane Medal.

The DeVane Medal is Yale University’s oldest teaching award, typically given each year in recognition of outstanding scholarship and undergraduate teaching to an active faculty member who is elected by undergraduate members of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.

The DeVane Medal is a distinguished teaching prize that honors professors who have wholeheartedly dedicated themselves to educating undergraduates. It is the only teaching award at Yale chosen entirely by students. The DeVane nomination and award process is students’ unique opportunity to voice our gratitude for those individuals who have most shaped our Yale education.

Profesor Roberts has been a dedicated member of African American Studies Faculty for nearly six years.
