“Yale Professor Jonathan Holloway describes childhood, civil rights in community-wide lecture”
Yale University African American Studies Professor and Department Chair Jonathan Holloway gave a lecture titled “The Right Kind of Family: Addressing the Silences in a Civil Rights Memory,” at Stillman’s Education Building Tuesday evening.
Holloway emphasized the focus on the everyday lives and struggles of families during the Civil Rights movement as part of the locally organized Martin Luther King, Jr. Realizing the Dream Committee’s Distinguished Lecture Series.
