On April April 4 this year at the National Sawdust in Brooklyn, Lucy Caplan, in partnership with AMOC, led “Listening to Tom-Tom, a discussion of the 1932 opera by author, musicologist and composer Shirley Graham Du Bois. The program included an introduction of excerpts from the Graham’s work, followed by discussion by Caplan and fellow panelists.
