“Visions of Black Futurity” by Babette Thomas, podcaster in residence for SF MOMA’s Raw Material Podcast

Babette Thomas is a current podcaster in residence for SF MOMA’s Raw Material Podcast. This season is titled Visions of Black Futurity and centering it around the legacy of Black arts curator Evangeline Montgomery--a pioneer of the west coast Black Arts Movement in the Bay Area.

Throughout the season, Babette Thomas will be turning to this period of the late 60’s and early 70’s in the Bay Area–learning lessons from EJ and her collaborators to ultimately imagine a future of Black art outside of museums.
